Payroll Country Lead (Remote, Italy)

Job summary

The Payroll Country Lead will oversee payroll operations within Italy, ensuring compliance with local regulations and timely processing. This role requires strong leadership and the ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders in payroll and staffing agencies.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in payroll operations, particularly within Italian staffing agencies (APL).
• Strong judgment skills to manage risk and handle confidential information.
• Knowledge of global payroll best practices and experience with multi-country payroll implementation.
• Proficiency in SAP, Excel/Google Sheets, and Zucchetti Paghe Project.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Demonstrated automation and AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own the payroll process for Italy, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local laws.
• Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners regarding payroll matters.
• Stay updated on international payroll regulations and ensure adherence to corporate policies.
• Manage relationships with payroll service providers and staffing agencies.
• Develop best practices and key performance indicators for payroll operations.
• Document payroll processes in line with governance and regulatory requirements.
• Support system enhancements and testing related to payroll software.
