Job summary

An experienced Interim Accounting Director is sought to lead the regional accounting organization in North West Europe during a critical transformation phase. This role involves strategic and operational oversight of financial governance, legal compliance, and accounting principles across multiple clusters in the region.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in accounting, tax, and legal matters in an international context.
• Education in finance and accounting; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a regional accounting team of twenty, including three cluster Accounting managers.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing financial processes, ensuring timely and compliant reporting of financial data.
• Manage taxation, legal, and credit risk compliance across the region.
• Promote strong financial governance and ethical standards as a Compliance Ambassador.
• Drive regional harmonization and automation of finance processes in alignment with global standards.

Skills

• Strong business acumen and analytical skills with a track record of delivering complex finance initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex financial information clearly.
• Strong stakeholder management abilities with experience in a multinational, multilocation environment.

Education

• Relevant education in finance and accounting, with professional qualifications preferred.

Tools

• Familiarity with financial reporting tools and compliance software is advantageous.
