Student Worker in Engineering Continuous Improvement (Remote)

Job summary

This position involves assisting in the development of a digital platform for engineering processes, focusing on creating a SharePoint site and automating workflows to enhance efficiency and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software/Industrial Engineering, Business IT, or a related field.
• Foundational experience with Microsoft 365/SharePoint and Atlassian tools (Jira/Confluence).
• Proficiency in SharePoint Online, including pages, navigation, and permissions.
• Experience with Confluence templates and structure.
• Knowledge of Jira project setup and automation.
• Familiarity with low/no-code automation tools like Power Automate.
• Strong written and visual communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong planning abilities.
• Collaborative mindset with a service-oriented approach.
• Fluent in English.
• Relevant certifications (MS-900, PL-900, or Atlassian Jira Fundamentals) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a senior developer to design and build the SharePoint site.
• Develop engaging content and visuals for the site.
• Create Confluence templates and establish documentation standards.
• Implement automations in Jira and Confluence to streamline processes.
• Produce quick guides and videos to support user adoption.
• Participate in workshops and assist with content governance.

Skills

• Microsoft 365/SharePoint and Atlassian (Jira/Confluence) experience.
• Automation skills with Power Automate or similar tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proactive in identifying areas for improvement.

Education

• Enrollment in a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s program is required.
