Job summary

The Steelwork Field Engineer plays a crucial role in the execution of steelwork projects within the EMEA region, providing technical guidance and oversight during the installation phase. This position involves managing both internal and external teams to ensure the quality and safety of steel structures.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience in field engineering.
• Experience in evaluating and analyzing steel structures, ensuring safety and compliance with material handling systems.
• Ability to determine connection details for steel structures and existing buildings.

Responsibilities

• Educate subcontractors on safety practices and encourage positive safety discussions on-site.
• Monitor adherence to risk assessments and method statements, providing effective supervision and timely reporting.
• Lead and coordinate on-site steelwork activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the Site Manager to draft installation plans and address any delays or defects.
• Serve as the primary contact for safety and technical inquiries related to steelwork on-site.
• Drive initiatives to optimize production rates and reduce waste on-site.
