Senior Offshore Telecom Engineer (Remote, EU/UK/Norway)

Job summary

Seeking experienced Offshore Telecom Engineers for a large FPSO offshore production vessel project, focusing on telecom and safety systems integration. The role involves working with various communication systems onboard the vessel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in offshore, maritime, or telecom systems
• Strong understanding of communication systems and their integration
• Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Experience in technical documentation and system design

Responsibilities

• Design and review telecom systems including CCTV, access control, PAGA, telephony, and radio systems
• Conduct RF modeling and coverage analysis using tools like ATDI, ICS Telecom, or HTZ
• Deliver comprehensive technical documents and system designs across the telecom scope

Skills

• Expertise in VHF/UHF radio, radar, satellite communication, and maritime telecom systems
• Proficient in RF planning and telecom system design
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education

• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience in telecom engineering

Tools

• Familiarity with RF modeling tools (ATDI, ICS Telecom, HTZ) and telecom system design software
