Senior Naval Architect/Structural Engineer (Offshore Wind, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves contributing to the construction and operation of advanced vessels in the offshore wind sector, focusing on sustainability and renewable energy. The position requires expertise in naval architecture and structural engineering to ensure compliance with technical requirements for vessel operations and modifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's (BSc) or Master’s (MSc) degree in Naval Architecture, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in the Marine or Offshore industry.
• Familiarity with vessel and structural design according to class rules and offshore standards.
• Experience with offshore construction and operations is a plus.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies, pre-design, detailed design, and risk assessments for vessel projects.
• Evaluate technical proposals from designers and suppliers, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Manage engineering scopes and collaborate with subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Support or lead R&D studies and concept designs.
• Assist Project Managers or act as Project Manager for minor projects, focusing on upgrades and optimizations.
• Drive the development of onboard data collection to enhance vessel performance.
