Job summary

The Principal Field Application Engineer plays a vital role in driving growth by building a sales pipeline, securing design-ins, and enhancing the technical brand within assigned accounts and key regional customers. This position involves close collaboration with the regional sales team and direct engagement with customer R&D teams to influence system architecture and deliver successful design-ins that lead to long-term revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify new design opportunities within assigned accounts, engaging early in the design cycle.
  • Establish strong technical relationships with key stakeholders and map customer system architectures.
  • Generate insights to feed the sales pipeline by identifying unmet needs and creating proactive opportunities.
  • Conduct technical workshops and training sessions to enhance brand presence in key markets.
  • Lead critical design-ins by coordinating internal resources and managing technical campaigns.
  • Deliver demonstrations and project kick-offs at customer sites.
  • Develop high-quality technical content, including application notes and webinars.
  • Provide structured customer insights and competitive intelligence to product management.
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaigns and events to enhance technical credibility.
  • Work closely with the sales team to align account strategies and ensure smooth transitions from design to production.
