Network Operations Engineer (IT, Remote)

Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Network Operations Engineer to join an international team focused on monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing a global network infrastructure. This role is critical for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of the network environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience
• 2-3 years of experience in network operations and engineering, with a strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, and switching, particularly in Cisco and Palo Alto environments
• Knowledge of Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNA) center solution and/or Software Defined Access (SDA) is mandatory
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and protocols (e.g., SolarWinds, SNMP, NetFlow, Wireshark)
• Familiarity with security protocols and best practices, including firewalls and VPN technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure
• Background in scripting and automation (e.g., Python)
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, ITIL) preferred but not mandatory

Responsibilities

• Build and mature internal capabilities for Network Operations, including documentation of network configurations and processes
• Monitor and analyze network performance, proactively resolving issues to minimize downtime
• Respond to alerts and incidents promptly, following established protocols
• Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve network-related problems
• Configure, install, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls
• Participate in capacity planning and network design discussions for scalability and reliability
