Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven experience in leading and developing expert teams in pre-clinical, chemical analysis, materials science, or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to create and implement departmental strategies.
• Strong scientific credibility with a focus on integrating biology, chemistry, materials, and device performance.
• Familiarity with medical device development and regulatory submission processes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships and influencing across organizational boundaries.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 13 scientists, focusing on current and future capabilities.
• Establish long-term departmental direction aligned with R&D strategic goals.
• Integrate departmental objectives with broader stakeholder strategies across R&D.
• Manage resources, budget, and partnerships to ensure timely project delivery.
• Promote scientific and technical excellence through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards, including documentation and reporting.
• Build and utilize internal and external scientific networks to enhance decision-making.
